TORONTO, ON – December 4, 2024 – The Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC) is pleased to announce that Projects Pivot, an Ontario-based project management company, has joined as its newest member organization.
Projects Pivot was founded in 2016 by Barbara Kephart, PMP with a unique aim to support their executive clients while also training other project professionals to deliver the same caliber of support. Barbara is a UC Berkeley-certified project manager, holds a Project Management Professional credential from the Project Management Institute and brings decades of experience from various industries, including the nuclear medicine sector.
Prior to being a project manager, Barbara was a nuclear medicine technologist for over 20 years, certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists and the State of California Department of Public Health.
Projects Pivot’s approach allows them to work with a broad range of clients across multiple sectors and rely on the deep expertise of their Chief Project Officers and fractional project professionals to support their clients by providing a unique, case-by-case approach to each project. This style of project management focuses on setting organizations up for success after the project is delivered. This focus is at the heart of their mission and demonstrates the unique nature of their services.
“I’m glad to welcome Projects Pivot to the CNIC as our newest member organization. We look forward to facilitating their engagement with our diverse members to support their interest in Canada’s medical isotope sector. As we work towards our goal of doubling Canada’s isotope production by 2030, Canada will require an “All Hands on Deck” approach that includes companies of all sizes that provide unique services.” said James Scongack, Chair of the CNIC. “Their innovative approach to providing project management services and past hands-on experience in the nuclear isotope industry makes them a welcome addition to the CNIC’s membership.”
“Joining the CNIC is a perfect fit for our business journey, with our past direct experience with radiopharmaceuticals in patient care to now managing complex projects across various industries, including affordable energy. Projects Pivot looks forward to collaborating with the CNIC’s members to enhance and support the projects that will strengthen Canada’s leadership in isotope production and healthcare innovation,” said Barbara Kephart, Founder of Projects Pivot.
